WEBSITE ORDERS
 
There are several ways that you can place your order. You can select the method which is most convenient to you and we will ensure that we will try to make the order process as easy as possible for you. You can place your order by using our email or via our online shop.
 
All our prices include New Zealand GST of 15%
 
Overseas orders will not be subject to New Zealand GST

Payments can be made via the following: 
  • Credit Card - Stripe
  • Direct Credit
  • AfterPay

For online orders where you use the credit card option, you will be taken directly to our secure Stripe site where you can safely use your credit card details to pay your order. Top Gear will never be able to see your credit card details.


We do our utmost to make sure that our pricing is accurate. With over 1000 products on offer, it could however happen that some of our pricing could be inaccurate. We do therefore reserve the right to cancel any such orders for which pricing was wrong or inaccurate without further notice to the customer and refund these payments promptly.

DISCLAIMERS
 
International Shipping Restrictions, Import Restrictions, Customs Restrictions , Returned Goods

It is the responsibility of our customers to make sure that they are allowed to import any items ordered from our website into their country. If the Customs in your country returns your order to us, either because you did not have the permission to import such items or because such items are banned in your country, we will refund to your credit card your total charge minus twice your shipping charge (as we must pay our carrier the same shipping charge to return your order back to us),and minus 15 percent of the value of your order as the restocking fee, and minus any other charges, such as quarantine fees or warehousing fees, assessed by the customs in your country.
 
Once again, please check with your country's customs officials to make sure you are allowed to import knives and/or tools from New Zealand . If the order is not returned at all you will not receive any refund and you accept full responsibility for the confiscated order. Please be aware: Customs does stop certain products from coming through and you must accept all financial responsibility for this order. Your email must state that there will be no charge backs and that you agree to our shipping terms.
 
If your order is returned because you entered a wrong address, or because no one was there to accept delivery of your order, we will refund your credit card as follows: You will be refunded the total amount of the order minus the shipping charge and 15 percent of the value of the order as a restocking fee. We will also subtract any other outside charges we might have incurred during shipping, such as warehousing fees, return postage fees, etc.
 
RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to us within 7 days of purchase for an exchange or store credit. Shipping costs are however non-refundable, even though shipping was for free with a minimum cost of $8.45 or $12.45 for RD. The item must be unused and its original packaging. Please send us an email within 3 days of receiving the goods, and quote your name and order number. We will provide you an email with the return address.
You then need to send the parcel to the address given. You will be notified via email when your account is credited for the return.
 
If we made an error in your order we will refund the full purchase price plus return shipping costs for that item. We pride ourselves on quality control and check all products to the best of our ability before sending them out. In the rare instance that an item is faulty, we will refund your payment and along with any postage that you’ve had to pay to return to us upon receipt of the item. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any parcels sent to us that get “lost in the post”. We also reserve the right to reject any returns if we deem the item not to be shop worthy. If we send or you order the wrong product you must return it to us as soon as possible. Products must be in its original packaging (sealed) and unused condition.

CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
 
In the unlikely event that the goods are unavailable we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order. We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgement, to have been placed fraudulently.

While we endeavour to ensure that the price and description of goods or services is accurate, if there is an error in the process of listing a product or service on our website or a technical error in the processing of your order we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.
 
We do therefore reserve the right to cancel any such orders for which pricing was wrong or inaccurate without further notice to the customer and refund these payments promptly.

ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
 
While we endeavour to supply accurate information on this site, errors and omissions may occur. Top Gear specifically disclaims any liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content on the site whether Top Gear is aware of such errors or omissions or not.
 
An order placed by you on the Top Gear site is an offer by you to purchase a particular product. Top Gear reserves the right to accept or reject your order for any reason, including, without limitation, an error in your order or in the material on the site, or the unavailability of the product. The contract to purchase a particular product only comes into existence upon acceptance by Top Gear or its subcontractors of your order. Products are subject to availability. In the event of shortage, Top Gear may allocate sales and deliveries in its sole discretion.
 
Top Gear may update, or discontinue any product and/or revise prices for any product listed as available on the site at any time and without notice.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
 
Security Policy
 
All payments are processed real-time through an external `payment gateway’ and Top Gear does not have access to your credit card information.
 
When a credit card order is placed through the Top Gear website, your credit card details are sent securely by the website directly to the Stripe payment gateway. If you do not have a Stripe account you can just enter your normal credit card details. Once verified by the Stripe through a direct connection with your bank to validate and check for available funds. Once these details have been checked and verified, the transaction is processed and completed and the funds are automatically transferred to the merchants account.
Shipping
All orders are shipped via Courier. We try our best to dispatch your purchase promptly. We cannot be held responsible for any items damaged during transit, nor lost parcels that have been requested as non-signature.

When a delivery is accepted, you accept the item in the condition it arrives. We ensure that our items are in great condition and packed safely. Please ensure to check the item before signing for it, as we cannot be held responsible for the condition of an item once it has been signed for and accepted.

We will, however, be more than happy to assist you to make a claim with the courier company for any lost or wrongly delivered parcels. Estimated arrival times are taken directly from the couriers, therefore we do not have power over the variation of delivery.
